*.* Jesus feet *.*

During the stay in a certain Pharisee’s house, people are there to see Him, some there to hear from him. But a certain incident made people questioned Him on His actions that why He let her, a wicked sinner; wipe His feet with her tears and her hair. To some it is a disgusting sight, some feels the action is an outrage and some will feel confuse.

She will let no insult stop her from what she is doing and about to do. She kissed Jesus feet and anointed His feet with perfume and it filled the whole house. After Jesus told the people about the parable of 2 debtors, He set her free by forgiving her sins. (Luke 7:36-50)

In another house, Simon the leper, Mary came up to Him and anointed His head and feet with an alabaster flask of very precious perfume which filled the whole house. She then also uses her hair to wipe at Jesus feet. (Matthew 26:6-12) (John 12:3-7)

(Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, 4rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. 5Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, "Lord, do you wash my feet?" 7 Jesus answered him, "What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand." 8 Peter said to him, "You shall never wash my feet." Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no share with me." 9Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!" 10Jesus said to him, "The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but is completely clean.)

As Pastor Prince mentioned that washing of feet is equal to being righteous because sins are liken to dust and the only place that attract the most dust is the feet.

Both women are at a certain man named Simon’s house, one a Pharisee and another leper. The first is a house of law and the second is a house of sins, but both houses are filled with the smell of the sweet smelling perfume. But no one realize that Jesus meant for that to happen. By pour the perfume on Jesus feet, Jesus is telling us that it signified that Jesus is our burn offering and His righteousness (feet) is enough to cover all our sins and fulfill The Law.

I am sure that these women did not realize that God uses their act of love as a symbol of Jesus our sacrificial lamb. Two act of love showing a greater love that God have planned for us. How lovely is our Jesus to cover all our sins and The Law with his love for us on the cross?

This is how great our God is, this is our God and children now we are always right with Him through Jesus Christ. Let us now all stand and hands high and lifted up and shine. Let us go boldly to Jesus and embrace His feet and kiss it. Let us remember that it was Jesus Christ that saves us from our sins. Jesus, Daddy, Abba, I could not thank you enough for all that you have done for me.

Thank you.
